Is it leading? No, but it’s pretty dang skilful in places.

The record’s first take, “This Ain’t No Lil’ Kid Rap,” is Rah Digga big-talking her way through a vilify catch — and her at no cost-flowing, masterminds lyrics back up most of her claims. (“Prominent” significance? C’mon.) It’s a neck jam, though she shows herself up with the stunner of an intro, “The Post of Rashia.”

“Rashia” is a doggedly produced trace — cheers to Nottz, who produced the without a scratch sub rosa — with minimalist, Asian-tweaked music funding up Digga’s learned arrogance. The multi-culti flap kills everything else on the album, but there’s more fun here, in the darkly test-delic “You Got It” and the bass-acquire-driven “Solidified.”

Her rhymes are tightly, as she proves in “Solidified”: “The truly is limitless, it will never die/My importance in this tournament is self-solidified.”

    After a Indigene Tongues throwback with Monie Love, rapper Shawn Pen took the stage alongside Q-Tip to mount a song. The next reveal was Black Thought who came out to The Roots’ “Act Too (Love of My Life) and did his reaction with Q-Tip for a good 15 minutes, the two even performed “Bonita Applebaum.”
