'Beats, Rhymes & Life' looks at A Tribe Called Quest
The power of African-American music to depose races together on a massive scale was first demonstrated by Motown in the 1960s and 1970s.
Artists like The Supremes and Smokey Robinson held their own with halfway point-class white kids despite stiff competition from The Beatles and The Rolling Stones .
For hoary actor Michael Rapaport , hip hop was the soundtrack of his life as a teen on the streets of New York City in the mid-1980s, and his partiality for the music only deepened when he got older.
Rapaport's favorite group was A Tribe Called Quest -- which disbanded in 1998 -- so when he had a befall to make a film about the musicians during the run-up to their 2008 reunion tour, he jumped at the chance.
"For me, (they) meant the same aspect as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin or The Rolling Stones," the actor-turned-director declared in his mission account on why he wanted to do the film.
In a phone interview last week, Rapaport said he looked back to a lot of classic music documentaries when he made the new "Beats, Rhymes and Existence: The Travels of A Tribe Called Quest," but he kept returning to his all-time favorite, 1970'S "Gimme Safety," which documented The Rolling Stones' unusually dramatic 1969 U.S. tour.
How do you get cotton from the Q-tip out of your ear?
My mam was using a Q-tip this morning and the cotton swab fell off pretty deep inside her ear. How can she get it out? She doesn't need to go to the doctor because its a new year which means she'll have to pay the deductable. Is there any good home remedies?
TWO SUGGESTIONS... FIRST, TAKE A New Q-TIP, VERY LIGHTLY MOISTEN IT WITH WATER. PUT IT IN THE EAR, TWISTING IN ONLY ONE DIRECTION, THEN AS YOUR STILL TWISTING SLOWLY PULL IT OUT. THE Novel SWAB TIP SHOULD HAVE WRAPPRD ARROUND THE NEW, DAMP SWAB.
If she can see it I would say tweezers, but very very carefully! If she injuries her ear it flourishing to cost even more.

never thrust anything into the ear you clean the outer edges of your ear only,wax is there for a reason to protect your ears and you will push bacterial wax back into your ear or damage your eardrum.
How can I get a q-tip cotton ball out of my ear?
The cotton tip of the q-tip dettached from its shove, and now the cotton is in my ear. I tried using a teezer to get it out but it didnt work. I need help to removing the cotton ball from my ears.
Call your doctor, go to an loud care center, or a first aid center and have someone take it out for you. . . If you keep trying on your own you might push it in further and possibly rupture your tympanic membrane! Be circumspect, Best of luck to you
