Emoção marca despedida de Mamãe Clory
Lágrimas e muita emoção marcaram a despedida de Clory Fagundes Marques, conhecida como Mamãe Clory, que morreu na madrugada de anteontem, vítima de complicações gastrointestinais. Nos últimos meses, ela lutava contra câncer no estômago. Com pelo menos 1.000 filhos entre biológicos e adotivos, além de cerca de 300 netos, 60 bisnetos e 32 tataranetos, a gaúcha simpleton da cidade de Alegrete fundou a Associação Cristã Verdade e Luz, que em São Bernardo atende 180 crianças de zero a 4 anos, dez idosos internados no asilo, além de inúmeras pessoas que passam pelos cursos de gestante e capacitação.
O enterro ocorreu por volta das 11h de ontem, no Cemitério Jardim da Colina, em São Bernardo. O corpo da benemérita foi velado no Teatro Cacilda Becker, no Paço Town, de onde foi levado em cortejo em carro aberto.
"Ela era um símbolo para o trabalho social, tanto para São Bernardo quanto para todo o Brasil. Certamente é uma perda muito grande, mas como sempre trabalhou em equipe, seu legado terá continuidade", destaca o diretor presidente da Fundação Criança, Ariel de Castro Alves.
