Horace Nye could be put up for sale again
ELIZABETHTOWN - The have's recently passed cap on property tax increases looks like it will revive the debate about the future of the Horace Nye Nursing Impress upon.
The nursing home in Elizabethtown is owned by Essex County and costs county taxpayers a combine million dollars yearly. A motion to hire a broker to sell the home was defeated by a 9-4 express a year ago, but a couple of last year's "No" votes said Monday they would be in favor this time, including supervisors Gerald Morrow, D-Chesterfield, and Tom Scozzafava, R-Moriah.

Even if the county decides to put the nursing internal up for sale, it probably wouldn't sell by the end of this year. However, the board could vote to close it.
Scozzafava was a outstanding advocate for keeping the nursing home public last year. He said Monday he favors significant changes at the nursing home to save money, including reducing the number of beds and at all having a private agency run it, but that the county will still need to budget for it next year.

Why are quarterbacks almost always good looking?
Customarily speaking, these guys (college included) are almost universally good looking. Joe Montana, Carson Palmer, Dan Fouts, Steve Pubescent, etc. Matt Leinhart's on some magazine every month for goodness sake. But those poor linebackers... I have often noticed that QB's are on average attractive. I'm a Bama fan & I couldn't tell you the last unattractive QB that we had. I have noticed this is also often true of running backs, look @ Emmett Smith & Shaun Alexander to name a connect.
