Emma Thompson was born in London on April 15, 1959, into a one's own flesh of actors – her primogenitor was Eric Thompson, who has passed away, and her mother, Phyllida Law, has co-starred with Thompson in several films (her sister, Sophie Thompson, is an actor as well). Thompson’s wit was earlier sophisticated by a invigorating, agile, original household aerosphere, and she was a renowned and top swot. She attended Cambridge University, studying English Circulars, and was part of the university’s Footlights Group, the famed platoon where, in days of old, many of the Monty Python members had first met.
Thompson graduated in 1980 and embarked on her profession in spectacular, inception with stints on BBC disseminate and touring with comedy shows. She tout de suite got her first vital cow in box, on the comedy skit program Alfresco, scribble literary works and performing along with her chap Footlights Grouping alums Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie. She also worked on other TV comedy reviewing programs in the mid-1980s, then with some of her comrade Footlights alums, and often with actor Robbie Coltrane.

Beer Festival cheers for Methven
And from 2-4pm there will be a music period with an open invitation to any musician to go along.
Villagers and guests will be raising a glass or two and saying cheers to the other Methven 1306 (Battle of Methven) Beer festival organised by the local Parks Cabinet.
The organisers are Brian Donaldson, who owns a national agricultural supplies business, and Rory Macgregor, a long status member of CAMRA and Perth and District Parachute Regiment Association, who will once again be backing the venture.
Together with a reckon of large and small businesses and local freemasons at Lodge Kildrummie, the PRA are backing the venture with monetary support.
The aim is to continue reviving an old-fashioned community spirit in the village and raise cash for the Sovereign George V Jubilee Playing Field, ensuring the whole community benefits from superb green place and amenities.
The beer festival is centred on Methven Community Hall. There will be good mixture of valid ale and cider, food and music, featuring On The Wagon from Crieff, Ian and Willie and Los Trios Bastardos from Methven.
