Exchange students leave Clyde with rich experiences

Almost a year ago, they came as strangers to a unheard-of property. They were teenagers, outlandish truck students from China, South Korea, Japan, Denmark, Germany and Africa. When they arrived, they found welcoming families who took them into their homes and made them part of their families. Now these same teens are preparing to report domestic to their families, with connected feelings about leaving their American families and their existence here.

Miyu Kobuchi, of Japan, who stayed with Jeff and Karen MacFarland, has already returned to the quick. Her last weekend included a strand fete at East Harbor Royal Parkland and a sleepover at the MacFarlands’ with three other trade students, Michelle Jess, of Denmark; Alma Sterr-mann, of Germany; and Hyun-Hee Parking-lot, of South Korea. Sterrmann, who was hosted by Troy and Cindy Leibengood, flew residence last Thursday. Jess, who was hosted by Jean Gerber, will vamoose Saturday.

Yi (Tony) Xia, hosted by Bill and LeAnn Brown, will up next Tuesday, but will see his tummler family again speedily. His progenitor invited the Browns for a pop in to China this summer and has a entire itinerary planned, Bill Brown said. Xia is in the light of returning to the U.S. to occupy oneself with college in Oklahoma.
