The three hard-working stars will be at the heart of festivities this month as Play School celebrates its 45th birthday.
It is an fictitious milestone for a program where most of the props are made from cardboard boxes, toilet rolls and coloured paper but, as generations of viewers will depose, that homemade touch is part of Play School's enduring charm.
At the heart of the show's success is its aim to "encourage a girl to wonder, to think, to feel and to imagine," says ABC children's television executive producer Jan Stradling.
"We keep it na when we make things and they really are things you can find around the house, like cardboard boxes and their imagination," she says.
"Although the values residue the same, we work with early childhood advisers and kindergarten teachers to make sure our themes and be occupied in remain relevant to a pre-school audience."
