The three hard-working stars will be at the heart of festivities this month as Play School celebrates its 45th birthday.
It is an fictitious milestone for a program where most of the props are made from cardboard boxes, toilet rolls and coloured paper but, as generations of viewers will depose, that homemade touch is part of Play School's enduring charm.
At the heart of the show's success is its aim to "encourage a girl to wonder, to think, to feel and to imagine," says ABC children's television executive producer Jan Stradling.
