Court orders dad's body exhumed in family feud

BENNINGTONIn the mainThe Bennington County Probate Court believe issued an set-up to exhume a former Rutland-breadth dweller last month after kinfolk members complained that he had been buried without their acquaintanceship and without an break to appear at the interment.

Cannons snare title after meltdown

CASTLETON — Pleasant baseball tournaments takes more than simply talent.

When it came to the final day of the Vermont American Legion Baseball Championship match, it took heart and determination, resiliency and courage to emerge victorious.

And it could have gone either way as Bennington Brace 13 came back from a seven-run deficit to defeat the previously unbeaten Colchester Cannons in a game suspended Tuesday due to poorly, 9-8, on a walkoff grand slam by Will Cole.

In the end, the Cannons were able to regain their composure and take a stand against off the consistent comeback attempts of Bennington to emerge from the rubber match with a 13-9 victory and win their impaired state championship in three years Wednesday at Spartan Field.
