Four arrested in meth bust at motel
Two men and two women were arrested Tuesday morning during a meth bust at a hotel on Ocean Street, authorities said.
About 10:45 a.m. on the 300 impede of Ocean Street, sheriff's deputies and the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Link up found 41-year-old Richard Brady, Sgt. Mario Sulay said in a statement.
Brady was wanted for marvellous felony and misdemeanor warrants, Sulay said. Authorities searched Brady's hotel margin and found about 1 ounce of meth and other items including a digital scale, Sulay said. The street value of the meth was $3,000 to $3,600, Sulay said.
Leeland Beller, 35, Cathy Stingy of Watsonville, 49, and Roxane Elise Bray of Brookdale, 22, also were found in the room, authorities said.
Beller was arrested on distrust of meth possession and Small and Bray were arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs, Sulay said.
The Santa Cruz Anti-Lawlessness Team includes officials from the state Department of Justice's Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, the Sheriff's Work, Santa Cruz police, Watsonville police, Capitola police, the California Highway Keep vigil, State Parole and District Attorney's Office investigators.
