NASELLE — Naselle’s eighth measure up middle school volleyball finished the season with a 6-4 record. They won both matches with Ocosta and Valley and split two matches with Raymond and North Shore. South Bend defeated Naselle in both of their eighth grade matches.
Emily Ashe, Taylor Christi, Taylor Eaton, Hannah Ellsworth, Emma Fauver, Haley Footh, Kendra Leeland, Nicole Kinnear, Makayla Matthews, and Kenzee Weikum played on the Naselle eighth cut it volleyball team.
“One of the team’s goals was for every player to get an overhand serve over during a match and each player met that end. Another goal was to use the pass-set-hit and transitioning with every volley and they met that, as well,” coach Jenny Blake said.
“There is a titanic deal of talent in this group of players and they will be an asset to the high school program as early as next year. It was a inclination to coach this group of girls and an inspiration to see the students develop their volleyball skills,” Blake concluded.
