Kay grew up in Bowling Immature and graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1957 and then went on to attend Gem City Topic College. Kay worked as a telephone operator in Bowling Green and a long distance practitioner in Mexico. She worked 21 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Hannibal as the billing superior. In 1983 she worked at Alton Memorial Hospital, then at Excelsior Springs Medical Center, Des Moines Medical Team, Illini Community Hospital as manager of clinic operations for Rural Health Clinics in Pike County, Ill., Regional Prepare Care, Inc in Cape Girardeau. Kay retired from Bay Area Heart Center in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Dec. 31, 2009 and moved to Troy to be looming the Haley families.She is survived by one sister, Judy Clay and husband Tim of Winfield; two brothers, Jack Haley and wife Janie of Troy, Billy Joe Haley and strife Mary of Vandalia; two cousins, Mike Smith of Columbia, Vickie Haley Layman of Bowling Grassy; many nieces and nephews including Carrie

A 6'10" brash/center from UCLA, Haley spent nine seasons in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Chicago Bulls, New Jersey Nets, Los Angeles Lakers, and San Antonio Spurs. Haley was a associate of the 1995-96 Bulls team which won a league-record 72 games and the NBA Championship, although he only played in one meet during the regular season and did not participate in the playoffs. He was mainly known for his friendship with Dennis Rodman, and despatch earned a reputation as Rodman's "babysitter." However, Haley bristled at the label, and argued that he had legitimately earned his speckle on the team.
