    About this book
The third installment in the critically acclaimed, pre-eminent selling Finding Lost series."The Finding Lost series is quite simply the most superbly resource for fans. Not only is the information concise and complete, Nikki Stafford’s commentary is insightful, allied, and entertaining. No matter how well you know the show, Stafford’s analysis of the themes and symbolism of Lost will renew your prurience to go back and watch over and over again." —Jon "DocArzt" LachonisThroughout the first three seasons of Lost, we saw the Lostaways trying to get rescued, adapting to the atoll, and then dealing with the "natives" of the island, the Others. But the jaw-dropping fourth season was the turning point in the series, giving fans a glimpse of the prospective through flashforwards of those who made it off the island. While this season provided answers to earlier mysteries, it also raised new questions and muddled viewers' brains with outdated-traveling bunnies. About this book
The institutions and products of the Australian flick industry have been extensively surveyed, yet few analyses consider the sources of the film revival that took in the right in the 1970s and 1980s. This book represents a new way of thinking about Australian cinema as it asks where the origins of the new films lie. The record begins by tracing the indebtedness of Australian cinema to the classical narrative style of Hollywood videotape-making, with its firm grasp of melodrama. It continues by comparing the problems faced by 'high' British cinema of the 1940s and 1950s with those faced by Australia in the 1970s and 1980s in the attempts by both countries to affirm national film industries. New Australian Cinema will increase the scope of the discussion about the revival of Australian cinema and commandeer us to make cultural sense of the films themselves.
