Hija de Gonzálo Facio, un diplomatico de Costa Rica, su presencia pública se reducía a la prensa del corazón y apariciones episódicas en series de televisión como ‘Corrupción en Miami’, pero en el año 2000, se conoció su nueva faceta, la de actriz de cine.
En aquel año, Ridley Scott dirigía ‘Gladiator’, la historia de Máximo Décimo Meridio, un soldado romano despojado de todo y condenado a ser gladiador, al que un celoso emperador intrepretado por Joaquin Phoenix condenaba a la desgracia incluso arrebatandole a su familia ordenando su ejecución.
