Police: Wildomar man arrested twice this month on suspicion of stealing fuel
On Monday, deputies saw a sundries pull into a construction area at Ponte Winery along Rancho California road around 11 p.m., Rabbit on said. Deputies said a man pulled a hose from the back of his truck and connected it to the fuel tank of a Peterbilt tractor semi-stock, Wade said.
Deputies got out of their vehicle , walked over to the man and asked what he was doing, Wade said.
“He told the deputies he was delivering ammunition to the truck,” Wade said. The deputies learned the man took about 100 gallons of fossil from the truck.
When deputies ran his name they learned the driver was arrested on July 14, Wade said. On July 14, deputies saw a man filching diesel from a construction site near Railroad Canyon and Normandy roads in Menifee, said Sgt. Tim Elwell in a tidings release.
“Deputies observed Box siphoning the fuel from a fork lift into a 300-gallon bladder in the back of his 1991 Ford F-250 pickup sundries,” Elwell said.
Elwell said Box is on probation for doing the same thing.
