Notes On Susan Sontag, Yasir Arafat, And George Bush - The Rumpus.net

. Sontag, the acknowledged scholarly. What does that carry? It means learned and excellent. It means she’s not jittery to build a suppositional framework for enjoying gobbledygook sophistication but then also heaving her massive mind not hardly against the substance of stardom but on affliction, and contrition, and expiring. Not regretful to attack, not disquieted what her old boy thinks. after 9/11, the spirit of which was, We brought this on ourselves. I was livid. There is no justification for flying a slip into a edifice. You can’t say this is our boo-boo objective because, as a domain, we’ve done disagreeable things. What country hasn’t done dreadful things, premised the unlooked-for? She was speaking of esteemed savages, proud and marvellous and as dull as they were stateless. It was a serious underestimation. Isanti County Recorded Society receives emergency grant

Cambridge, MN – Today (Thursday, July 14) at 1 p.m., officials from the Isanti County Factual Society and the Minnesota Historical Society will visit the remains of the county’s historical society edifice in Cambridge, Minn., which was destroyed by fire on July 8.

Kathy McCully, executive director, Isanti County Real Society; Stephen Elliott, director and CEO of the Minnesota Historical Society; and Bob Herskovitz, MHS outreach conservator, will review the destruction and discuss the ongoing recovery strategy.

Most of the county’s historical collections were destroyed in the fire, however a team from the county and state documented societies, along with volunteers, salvaged materials including 75 cubic feet of paper probing collections. The surviving collection includes maps, oversize photographs, plat books, aerial photographs, quad maps, life-giving record index cards and vertical subject files.

What do you think of this (peculiar) name combination?

I don't have knowledge of any of these recordings, though the only ones I'm interested in would be Hough playing the Brahms quintet, and the Carter quartets.

Hough is fabulous. I've seen him live once, and it was inspirational.
