Robert was born in Easton, where he graduated from Wilson Strident School in 1944. Robert was a member of the AOPA, Civil Air Patrol, Knights of Columbus and an usher at Untouchable Heart Church in Mount Holly since 1976.
He also was a member of the Mount Holly Planning Board from 1992 to 2010, serving as chairmen and associate. He served on the township's Historic Preservation Commission and was a volunteer for Main Street Mount Holly, ration to paint the murals on Mill and Washington streets.
