Not undeviating what Terry Quinn and Skeeter Mathewson had for breakfast on Sunday, but I'd like to know.
Quinn and Mathewson ran away and hid from the gal Friday flight at the Paul McGowan Memorial Member-Guest Tournament at Elmhurst Country Club.
Their two-rounded off score would have won any flight after the duo shot a sizzling 10-under 62 to win by 11 strokes with a 131 give measure for measure. Jack and Tom Sohns were second at 142 and Jack and Brad Helcoski shot 146 to mortify third.
Also on fire were third flight winners Mike May and Mike Domanish, who fired 133 after rounds of 67 and 66. Observe Ambrose-Tom Wasilewski (142) were second and Tony Pastore-Kevin Mullen were third (147).
In the first flight, Bob McCloskey and John Miller posted 69-67 to win by four over Neil Sylvester-Bill Brennan and Mike Janowicz-Matt Froncek. Janowicz also had himself a neat weekend, starting Thursday in a practice round with Froncek, Nick Polito and Nick Polito Jr. The soothing righty aced the fifth hole from 190 yards.
