Regulations for the Eagle Lake Community Center have yet to be updated after some concerns were raised.
The Eagle Lake big apple council met in regular session July 12. The top agenda item was to discuss and possibly act on changes to the center’s rental concordat form and rules regarding use of the center.
In the council’s previous meeting, City Manager Keith Webb educated aldermen of what he reported to be negligence from recent renters in maintenance and cleaning. He offered several solutions to the difficult but asked the council to narrow his remedies down.
Webb brought three rule changes to the council for it to decree on July 12. The proposal included an 11 p.m. closing time, a non-alcohol policy unless fastness has been contacted, and a rise in the security deposit to $400.
Discussion focused on the proposed closing time. Councilman Dennis Davis said he heard feedback from citizens and did research on his own of other cities’ community centers. He done made the recommendation of leaving Eagle Lake’s closing time at its original hour of 1 a.m. Councilman Tony Tyler suggested midnight as contrasted with. Councilman Chris Young said he thought the 11 p.m. suggestion was a good idea and would assist the center.
