Später kontaktiert Bela Talbot Rufus, um einige okkulte Gegenstände von ihm abzukaufen. Rufus nutzt die Möglichkeit, um herauszufinden, wo Bela sich derzeit aufhält und was sie vorhat. Obwohl Rufus seit 15 Jahren keinen Kontakt mehr zu Bobby Troubadour hatte, entscheidet er sich trotzdem, ihn anzurufen und von Belas Plänen zu unterrichten. Nachdem Bobby Dean über die Lage informiert hat, besucht Dean Rufus zu Hause. Im Austausch gegen eine Flasche Rye erzählt Rufus Dean, wo Bela sich befindet und übergibt ihm eine Akte, die Informationen zu der vermeintlichen Bela Talbot enthält.

[x] Während der Kampf gegen die drohende Apokalypse im vollen Band against ist, entscheidet sich Rufus seinen Ruhestand vorerst zu beenden. Rufus weiß, dass 66 Siegel gebrochen werden müssen, um die Apokalypse zu starten. Aus diesem Grund überprüft er die Siegel und informiert Bobby sofort darüber, dass an einem Tag drei weitere Siegel gebrochen wurden.
