It's puppy love for local show
BANTEER show, native land market and family fun day will be held on Sunday July 17 in Banteer community centre commencing at 2pm.
This year the dog show will be held in conjunction with Autism Reinforcement Dogs Ireland (AADI). Autism is a disability that affects the normal development of the brain in areas of popular interaction and communication. The aim of AADI, based in Mallow, is to provide the families of children with autism with an backing dog. This service is offered free of charge to families, but each assistance dog cost €15,000 to rear and the organisation depends entirely on voluntary contributions.
Registration for the dog show will begin at 1pm and judging will commence at 2pm bright. Categories will be as follows : Class 1: Puppies less than 12 months old; Class 2: Block out beat up Haired Terriers; Class 3: Smooth Haired Terriers; Class 4: Insignificant/Toy Dogs, any breed; Class 5: Large Dogs, any breed; Class 6: Nipper Handling; Class 7: Adult Handling; Class 8: Best Groomed Dog; Kind 9: Champion Dog of the Show.
