    Queen mother Elizabeth’s garden party in the gardens at Buckingham Palace on 19 July 2011 in London would’ve been unexcelled except for the fact that it rained.  Not to worry, everyone had been warned well in advance of the impending showers and attended with their brollies in tow…

    Also attending were Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess Of Cornwall, who also brought their umbrellas for the expected daily showers.

    Elizabeth wore a attractive blue and jade green dress with a jade green coat, with matching jade unripe hat, decorated with green roses.  The Queen accessorized with strands of pearls, pearl earrings and a starburst clasp with pearls.  Her umbrella was clear white plastic with a jade green piping and hilt. 

    The clear umbrellas must be great for visibility for both the royal and the people looking at them and good for certainty as well.  When Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge went to Canada, she too had a completely clear anaemic umbrella.
