St. Louis County commissioners opted Tuesday to foster their due of the haecceity tax levy less than 1 percent and then cut more spending to offset their budget for 2011.
Commissioners voted 4-3 for a preliminary 0.6 percent levy enlarge that would rally an unused $640,000 across all of the county’s haecceity owners.
Country law requires the county to set its highest levy by Sept. 15. The end levy can go down after that, but can’t go up.
