ARCHER New Zealand urban area — Margaret E. “Marge” Zihlman, age 94, of Windthorst, Texas, passed away Monday July 25, 2011, in Wichita Falls.
A vigil checking and rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Windthorst. Sepulture mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. David Kraeger, vicar of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of Aulds Sepulture Home of Archer City.
Margaret was born June 19, 1917, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Otto Brugger and Catherine Titteger Brugger.
She and Edward J. Zihlman were married September 14, 1946, in Philadelphia. He preceded her in extermination on March 9, 2001.
She lived in Windthorst in the early fifty’s and returned to Pennsylvania for a short period of previously. In 1963, she returned to Windthorst where she was a homemaker. Marge was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Christian Maw’s Society and the Catholic Daughters. Her favorite pastime was playing bingo and crocheting.
