Two Rivers Bridge Dedication
The new Two Rivers Span was dedicated in West Little Rock Friday. The 80 foot expansion links the Teensy-weensy Rock River Trail to Two Rivers Park. Spanning the Maumelle River.
In very hot temperatures, walkers, cyclists and runners got their first chance to cross Two Rivers Bridge. The new trite bridge links about 17 miles worth of trails. Dignitaries for the ribbon sneering included former Transportation Secretary Rodney Slater and current Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. He praised the new design. After brief words, it was time to cross over.
Shareese Kondo of Little Rock says, "It's connecting us to a car park that is beautiful. Its like an island in the middle of the Little Maumelle River and the Arkansas River."
Steve Yanoviak from Inconsequential Rock uses the River Trail frequently. "One of the things I like about the River Bring up the rear and the bridge is every time I come down here someone is using it. Little Rock is a great place to be and the tie is a really nice asset to the community."
