  • Is Sofia Coppola the epitome of the pitfalls of nepotism?

Old lady made me sit through "Marie Antoinette" last night.

A Sofia Coppola movie is like the Talking Heads stripe of Heaven: "A place where nothing ever happens."

well, i am trusty nepotism has a lot to do with her career, but "the virgin suicides" is actually really good. i might be partial because it is my favourite book of all time. but still, good movie. i wouldn't even attempt to watch marie antoinette.

ha, I in point of fact liked "Marie Antoinette" and I also liked "Virgin Suicides".
She's much better behind the camera than in front of it. She charming much single-handedly ruined the Godfather 3. She's easily one of the worst

Is Sofia Coppola really into photography?

I noticed in the ads for her LV specialization she had a lot of cameras with the purses and she has them in her ads for her wine Sofia Mini as well.

Is she into photography and if so where can I see her work?

    I mean PHOTOGRAPHY

Yes, she is. She mentions it in interviews. She's talks a small bit about it in this one: http://www.avclub.com/articles/sofia-cop pola,13656/

Unfortunately, I don't know where you can see her work. I'm looking around for it myself.

What are Sofia Coppola and Tim Burton working on at the moment?

Not together ;) but does anyone advised of about individual projects? Thanks
Yeah - ofcourse i've looked at that sight but it doesnt feature much info on known projects in production/post for these two. For the sensible anwsers - many thanks.

As of now, Sofia doesn't seem to have anything succeeding on right now, but I'm sure that will change.

Tim has 4 films he is currently working on (in some fashion):
    9
    Frankenweenie
    Alice In Wonderland
    Ripley's

    Marie Antoinette

    About this book
Based on the regulations Marie-Antoinette: The Journey by Antonia Fraser, Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette is a powerful and sympathetic peel of the tragic life of France's iconic and misunderstood eighteenth-century Queen. Shot reservation in France, much on location at the Palace of Versailles, the film is visually stunning, bringing together a cast that includes Kirsten Dunst, Jason Schwartzman, Rip Torn, and Marianne Right, and the extraordinary costume designs of Oscar-winner Milena Canonero (Barry Lyndon, A Clockwork Orange). A unstationary story of naivety and responsibility, reputation and misunderstanding, Marie Antoinette is a film that Sofia Coppola has wanted to mould for years. In a book that is at once the personal chronicle of a major work and a beautiful tribute to the potential of haziness, featuring elements of the director's own screenplay as well as captivating stills, the director's personal photos, and case designs for costumes and sets, Marie Antoinette is an essential companion...
