Sandy Plains All-Stars Win Dizzy Dean World Series
The Sandy Plains Cougars are your 7-year-old Tipsy Dean World Series champions.
The All-Star team representing the Sandy Plains Baseball League downed Woodstock's Hobgood Heat 13-10 Thursday in the championship game in Calhoun.
The World Series competition featured 51 teams from Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and Louisiana.
The Cougars, who were the Georgia position champions, had to beat the Alabama champions, district winners and state runner-up on the way to claim the tenure.
“This team has had an amazing resiliency all season long. Every kid has contributed to the wins,” says Cougars talent coach Steve Bocca. “They’re a special group of guys.”
The tournament MVP is Evan Friedman.
The other 2011 All-Headliner Cougars are Barrett Bocca, Christian Burnette, Danny Curran, Cooper Dickson, Jared Jones, Michael Olkiewicz, JT Pagter, Braden Pringle, Reece Robertson and William Skinner.

It is a animus flick made in the early 80's. I won't give it away, but travelers wind up missing, but if you want to be surprised - this one will appal you!

Rory Calhoun (August 8, 1922 - April 28, 1999) was an American video receiver and film actor, screenwriter, and producer best known for his roles in Westerns.Born Francis Timothy McCown in Los Angeles, California, Calhoun was raised in Santa Cruz, California. When he was nine months old, his daddy died. After his mother remarried, he occasionally used the last name of his stepfather, Durgin. At the age of thirteen, his theft of a side-arm landed him in the California Youth Authority's Preston School of Industry reformatory at Ione, California. He escaped while in the setting center (jail within the jail), and never told how he managed it. After robbing several jewelry stores, he stole a car and drove it across assert lines. |
