Nicolas Cage has upside down churchgoers in Somerset by promoting his new integument from Glastonbury Abbey, according to reports.

Managers at the abbey have reportedly apologised after they let the silver screen VIP use the past plot to exalt his new large screen The Necromancer's Novice, which features swarthy wizardry and enchantment.

According to UK newspaper The Commonplace Telegraph, churchgoers were disquiet when Cage was allowed into the edifice at 3am to do a vigorous sound out with a US TV show.

Churchgoers reportedly claimed that it was unsavoury to exalt the wizard flick on such a sacramental spot, which is believed to be the funeral foundation of romantic medieval ruler Regent Arthur.

Some of the abbey's custodians have since apologised, but said the “loftiness and churchly holiness” of the abbey was preserved.

The Hollywood actor owns a tellingly close the abbey and is reported to have as one sees it chosen the venue for the appraise.
