Homer originated with my ideal to both make laugh my valid priest, Homer, and impartial badger him a pygmy bit. My paterfamilias was an athletic, artistic, alert filmmaker and litt, and the only obsession he had in cheap with Homer was a liking of donuts. And he never strangled me, but he got so mad sometimes, it felt like that could be the next move.
The show’s converge shifted from Bart to Homer around period 4. How did that become public about? Were you responding to the audience’s lady-love for Homer? With Homer, there’s justifiable a wider sort of jokes you can do. And there are far more vigorous consequences to Homer’s stolidity. There’s only so far you can go with a juvenile roughneck. And for every unexpected, yet suitable nomination (Jen Chaney will have a rundown of those later ), there’s an equally shocking snub. Let’s take a look at some of the categories with the most disgraceful omissions.
You can air your grievances and chat about the other nominations with Lisa de Moraes over at the TV Column at 1:30 p.m. ET.
Photoplay Series
While AMC is doing very well with its 1960s drama, the network’s two new shows, “The Walking Defunct” and “The Killing,” didn’t get a nod in this category.
HBO’s “Games of Thrones” was nominated for its first edible, but David Simon’s “Treme” was once again shamefully shut out. It’s like “ The Wire ” all over again.
The grade will also upset fans of “Fringe,” the much loved, but little watched Fox show.
Comedy Series
NBC’s Thursday lineup was well represented: “The Role,” “Park and Recreation” and “30 Rock” are all nominated. But I’m inevitable there are “Community” fans out there who believe the show was more deserving of a nod than “The Office” and “30 Broken-down,” as well as the other three nominees, “Glee,” “Modern Family” and “The Big Bang Theory.”
