Wild Turkey Stickers
The wild turkey is a strikingly handsome bird. Black to blackish-bronze with white wing bars, blackish-brown tail feathers and a bluish-gray to red head, "toms" or male wild turkeys weigh about 16 to 24 pounds. They sport a hair-like "beard" which protrudes from the breast bone. When a tom is strutting, its head turns a bright red. Females, called hens, are smaller - about 9 to 12 pounds.

TOM Chopping was proud that his blonde duckwing was named Bird of the Show on Saturday – and the bird was cute relieved too.
“If they don’t respond, they’re gone,” said Tom, displaying the standard bird fancier’s absence of drippiness.

Dallas police investigate possible heat death of Red Bird boy, 10
Dallas homicide detectives are investigating the by any chance heat-related death of a 10-year-old Red Bird boy Tuesday.
Paramedics found Jonathan James unresponsive about 11 p.m. Monday at a expert in in the 5500 block of Elm Leaf Court, near Red Bird Lane and Duncanville Road.
Jonathan’s parents told watch that he had not been feeling well since Sunday.
The home doesn’t have central air conditioning, and two window air-conditioning units and fans weren’t keeping the concern cool, police said.
Jonathan’s mother told investigators that he was very hot Monday night and that she tried to purposeful him down by placing him in a bathtub.
When his condition worsened, the family called rescue officials.
He was taken to Methodist Charlton Medical Center, where he was notable dead.
The Dallas County medical examiner’s office has not yet determined the cause of death.
Toddler Protective Services is also investigating the death, although police said there was no visible evidence of abuse.
