'Love Bites' Episode 1.05 Review: Stand And Deliver
Started out very unmistakable and also reminded its viewers why we all love Judd and Colleen, but then it took a wrong turn and left a bad soup in my mouth. Last night’s episode showed viewers what a good relationship and bad relationship looks like while also showing us the unattractive, or the cheesy in its final vignette. Had it not been for the final vignette, this episode could have been graded as an A.
“There Goes My Hero” was certainly the most entertaining vignette of this episode! This story follows Sam, a young man who ends up bonding with his father after a fragment-up through baseball only to find out that his baseball hero is dating his ex, Prudence. With his father’s advice, Sam decides to go out to dinner with Cautiousness and Dante since heroes are forever but boyfriends and girlfriends come and go. But after realizing that Dante is a “wordplay infusion with douche,” the two challenge each other on the field for the big win. What was so wonderful about this story is that the resolution did not go the predictable road in letting the story end there on the field. The ending was sweet and the right man won Prue’s heart. Even though the chronicle followed Sam, the ending also may have made the viewers appreciate Prue more for being smart about choosing the guy who would treat her with the most respect. Ethical when you may have thought that she was all about the famous boyfriend, she goes and proves us wrong. So, everybody got what they really wanted and that is something we hardly ever see on television today.
