In Alaskan Governor's acceptance speech at the GOP Convention, Sarah Palin talked about a "bridge to nowhere".

Transportation officials from New Hampshire and Maine agreed Wednesday to perpetually close the bridge to vehicular traffic -- about a year ahead of what had been its expected closing girlfriend.
Sometime next year, the Memorial Bridge will be demolished and a new $90 million bridge built in its place.
The advert, which took effect at 9 a.m., raised concerns at Route 1 businesses in Kittery, which rely on the bridge to put on shoppers and tourists from Portsmouth.
Now, those Kittery businesses will be located on an essentially dead end road with no contemplate of northbound traffic driving across the river from New Hampshire past their storefronts for the next three years. The new bridge is not expected to be at one's fingertips for traffic until June 2014.
But, transportation officials said they could not in good conscience keep the old bridge open to traffic after reviewing new engineering reports that showed it posed a safety hazard. New Hampshire is responsible for maintaining Memorial Connexion, though it is jointly owned with Maine.

(((carolott44, koalatcomics, et. al.))): This quiz is about the Anchorage to Wasilla bridge.
The "Bridge to Nowhere" was the Ketchikan to Gravina bridge.
Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a yacht for each of Wasilla's 7000 inhabitants?
In the 90's we had Clinton's "I did not doze that woman."
But in the 2000's we have "I said thanks but no thanks" from Sarah Palin.
What do you make up?
Not even stingy.
Exhibit A:
Sadaam's WMDs, Iraq's PRE-WAR Al-Qaida connection, Sadaam's attempt to acquire "yellow block" for a nuclear device
Sarah Palin is saying that she turned down the federal funds for the "connect to nowhere". But I read that she still took the funds and used them for other state projects. Isn't that the same thing? Taking federal funds?
Doesn't
Correct...she also charged her state a daily allowance normally used for official Governor travel, for more than 300 nights burned-out at her home.
She also billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months
