    MACOMB, Ill. - Much like the coronation of the first artificial turf at Western Illinois' Hanson Field, the Leathernecks' search for a starting quarterback is a effort in progress.

    Returning junior Wil Lunt, a backup to Matt Barr a year ago, and junior-college transfer Josh Hudson are competing for the starting time. Western Illinois coaches are willing to let the battle for the top spot on the depth chart evolve.
