Habitat for Humanity Store's First Year Establishes Good Record
The Belfair Domain for Humanity Store opened in September last year to assist in providing the local community with funding for low-outlay homes. The store is part of a social enterprise that is self-sustaining, relying on donations of building materials, accouterments and vehicles to sell to the public at 50 percent off retail value. Donations from their profits are affirmed to the Habitat for Humanity of Mason County for construction, land acquisition and operations.
The Belfair Supply has been exceeding expectations since its opening, according to organization officials. It contributed $12,000 in the fourth put up of 2010.
