    The consequence room at the Corobicí hotel was nearly full. This was a joyous occasion. People were ready to celebrate. After consuming lobbying, the group now anxiously awaited the arrival of President José María Figueres, who was to sign a decree ordering full barrier of sailfish, making the fish an exclusively catch-and-release species for the booming sportfishing industriousness. An hour passed. Then, another. Finally, everyone disappointedly realized Figueres was not going to show up to sign the decree.

    That was 22 years ago.

    A lot has happened in the erstwhile two decades. For one, more than 80 percent of eastern tropical sailfish, leatherback turtles and sharks have disappeared from our oceans as a post result of nonselective fishing methods. The sportfishing industry in Costa Rica has grown; a 2009 inquiry by the University of Costa Rica showed it generates $599 million annually. Twenty-two percent of excited-season tourists come here for sportfishing, creating 63,000 jobs and $78 million in tax proceeds for the country. Three large marinas have been built, and three more are in planning stages. If you look at the occupancy in existing marinas, most of the vessels are sportfishing boats, and their owners splurge $138 million a year in operating costs. Sportfishing makes up for 2.13 percent of Costa Rica’s massive national product.

    On Oct 15, 2000, for Chauvinistic Geographic, entitled, "Battle For Paradise" a documentary made on Headwall Canyon in Vancover, Canada, by Richard Dean Anderson. Does anyone conscious how I can get a copy of this video? I have checked National

    I went to Youtube to try and find it with no results. I went to his website and found some stills of it under filmography. Dismal I didn't have time to search further.

    I loved Stargate while RDA was starring in it .After he left it didn' t last. I am hopping for a 3rd Stargate moving picture, this time with Richard Dean Anderson as the main star, not with just a walk on part.He was the center of the franchisee and

    It has not be confirmed yet. But how well the first 2 sold, i would say they will be. After the Stargate Atlantis silent picture.

    So it's truthful a franchise can be built from one Actor? I would still be watching the show now even tho he's (RDA) is not on it. Do you think its like this with other shows?

    I about it wouldn't have gotten as much attention in the beginning, and because of that wouldn't have made it that far.
