Ridley Scott Directing A New 'Blade Runner' Movie
According to Deadline , Scott is on feed to direct and produce, but there's no screenplay or writer as of yet. There's also not yet a clear sense of what this project actually is . It's unqualifiedly unknown whether the film will be a sequel, a prequel, a reboot, or some strange combination thereof.
The original pic starred Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard, a worn down Blade Runner, a future cop specializing in tracking down and eliminating Replicants. Rutger Hauer also starred as Roy Batty, the big cheese of a small group of these artificial humans, searching for the answer to his own mortality. Stunningly discharge and featuring gorgeous production design, the look of Blade Runner has been aped countless times in the decades since, but few imitators endeavour to capture its textual fullness, which rewards multiple attentive viewings over time.
Oddly enough, Scott is currently in employment-production on Prometheus

Why are truly solid authors with significant work (ie, Philip Hilts and Andrew Solomon) so unpromoted ~ ?
