ACE Contradictory Militant Arts Center se encuentra en el pueblo de Aguada bajo la administración de Sifu Armando Acevedo. El estilo main que practican es Kung Fu: Garra de águila (Eagle Claw) y del Mono (Fiddle about Fist). Sifu Armando Acevedo comenzó a practicar artes marciales a los catorce años de edad bajo la instrucción de Sifu Jorge Méndez, alcanzando el cinturón negro en Hou Quan Kung Fu.Actualmente continúa ampliando sus conocimientos practicando Ying Jow Pai Kung Fu bajo la tutela de Sifu Thomas Torres del municipio de la Florida. Entrena tambien diversas disciplinas como Judo, Grappling y Jiu Jitsu para incrementar su técnica de combate en el piso.

Tyson Charles Pettijohn of Olpe has received a $2,000 MFA Foundation scholarship, one of approximately 330 presented this year by MFA Incorporated. Pettijohn is the son of Julie and Charles Pettijohn, and he plans to accompany Kansas State University.
Kuhlmann receives grant
Jo Ann Kuhlmann of Olpe has been awarded a $5,880 present from the North Central Region Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education Program (NCR-SARE) for the venture “Economic feasibility of using wood chip mulching to address the combined vineyard issues of (1) low structural matter, (2) weed control, and (3) irrigation costs.” This grant was awarded as part of NCR-SARE’s Husbandman Rancher grant program.
